About the Role:

As a Painter, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of various surfaces in residential and commercial settings. Your primary responsibility will be to apply paint, varnish, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other structures, ensuring a high-quality finish that meets client specifications. You will also be tasked with preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes to ensure optimal adhesion of paint. Attention to detail and a keen eye for color and design will be essential in delivering results that exceed client expectations. Ultimately, your work will contribute to creating inviting and visually appealing environments for clients and their guests.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a painter or in a similar role.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in painting or a related field.
• Experience with fiberglass and MIG welding.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in painting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed.
• Select and mix paints and finishes to achieve desired colors and textures.
• Apply paint using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish.
• Perform drywall repairs and carpentry work as necessary to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition and used safely.

Skills:

The required skills of painting and manual dexterity are essential for executing precise and high-quality finishes on various surfaces. Daily tasks will involve using tools such as table saws and spray painting equipment, which require a strong understanding of safety protocols and techniques. Depth perception is critical when working on ladders or scaffolding to ensure accurate application of paint at different heights. Carpentry skills will be beneficial for making necessary repairs to surfaces before painting, ensuring a smooth and professional result. Preferred skills like fiberglass application and MIG welding may also come into play for specialized projects, allowing for a broader range of services offered to clients.
