What you'll do



As a Senior Manager of the Technical Program Management (TPM) organization, you will lead and grow a team of technical program managers driving complex, high-impact initiatives across the product lifecycle. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs driving B2B product innovation and platform scalability, with a strong emphasis on integrating AI capabilities where they add customer value. Youll work closely with stakeholders across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Security, and Compliance to deliver capabilities such as intelligent document processing, workflow automation, generative AI integration, and platform modernization.

You have a proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional programs across a B2B product portfoliooften driving and influencing the development of advanced capabilities such as AI-powered features, platform enhancements, or enterprise-grade integration. With exceptional technical fluency in AI/ML, you excel at aligning engineering, product, data science, research, and compliance teams towards ambitious shared goals. Recognized for thriving in dynamic, fast-paced environments, you deliver impactful results with clarity, empathy, and a solutions-oriented mindset.You'll be the key driver in aligning the AI program roadmap with overarching business objectives. This includes not just managing the delivery of individual projects, but also ensuring that all programs are strategically prioritized and interconnected to deliver maximum value to the business.

Beyond your deep program execution expertise, you have a strong history of leading high-performing teams or mentoring peers through intricate technical challenges. You've been instrumental in shaping strategic roadmaps, influencing cross-functional decision-making, and building trust as a leader who brings structure and focus to innovation-heavy endeavors.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director of Program Management.

Responsibility

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AI TPMs, including setting clear goals, providing professional development opportunities, and ensuring the team has the resources and support needed to succeed

  • Strategically grow the AI TPM team as the business scales, identifying needs for new roles, hiring top talent, and defining career paths

  • Work to enhance the team's processes and capabilities to maximize their impact across the organization

  • Oversee and manage large scale B2B programs, encompassing all aspects of comprehensive project planning, including timelines, key milestones, performance indicators, and resource allocation

  • Lead high-impact programs that deliver AI-powered features across the docusign platform

  • Drive the launch of new B2B features that may involve an AI perspective to envision and strategize future integration opportunities across the product suite

  • Collaborate and oversee effectively with cross-functional engineering, product, research, data, privacy, and legal teams to deliver tangible business value efficiently, while upholding stringent quality standards and promoting transparency

  • Work with multi-functional matrixed teams to lead technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation phases

  • Utilize data and analytical insights to uncover opportunities for enhancement, monitor progress, and assess the effect of quality and efficiency initiatives on crucial metrics

  • Build program plans and delivery roadmaps, aligning business goals with technical execution

  • Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for AI programs, ensuring transparent communication of progress, potential risks, and necessary trade-offs to all stakeholders

  • Spearhead collaboration and alignment across diverse teams involved in AI model development, data pipeline construction, platform integration, and the delivery of customer-facing AI products

  • Lead and facilitate critical stakeholder reviews, governance meetings, and delivery checkpoints throughout the entire AI program lifecycle

  • Drive organizational alignment and efficiency by coordinating with multi-functional leads and streamlining processes

  • Establish and maintain operational excellence by implementing robust metrics, insightful dashboards, regular retrospectives, and continuous process improvements for AI programs

  • Assume ownership for the status of key AI projects, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, and proposing effective solutions to ensure timely and successful program completion

  • Articulate and present AI program strategies, key advancements, and measurable outcomes to executive leadership and pivotal stakeholders, advocating for quality and efficiency within the AI team

  • Foster close partnerships with teams specializing in Application, AI infrastructure, data engineering, model pre-training and post-training processes, and the integration of product feedback into the AI development cycle

  • Guide teams designing for advanced, complex, competing and often conflicting customer requirements

Job Designation



Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring



Basic

  • 3+ years people management experience

  • 8+ years of experience managing complex technical programs, with at least 3 years in AI/ML domains

  • Experience with machine learning development lifecycles, data workflows, and model deployment pipelines

  • Experience in leading and mentoring program managers, engineers, or cross-functional contributors within AI or technical domains

  • Ability to translate AI research and engineering requirements into clear execution plans

  • Experience building strong cross-team relationships and partnerships

  • Ability to synthesize data from various streams and present in a digestible bite size manner to upper management and execution teams

  • Experience curating program metrics and creating dashboards / scorecards for overall project health and progress

  • Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent

Preferred

  • Strong organizational skills with ability to deal with ambiguity, multitask and work independently in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment

  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Experience working on applied AI products such as LLMs, NLP, computer vision, or document intelligence

  • Familiarity with AI governance, model evaluation, data privacy, and responsible AI principles

  • Strong and innovative approach to problem solving and delivering solutions

  • Strong negotiation skills with cross-functional teams (influencer)

  • Skilled at dealing with ambiguity in a rapidly growing and changing environment

  • Ability to develop strong cross-team relationships and partnerships in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders

Wage Transparency



Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $177,900.00 - $287,425.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
