Ainsley Search Group is hiring a Director of Warehouse Operations with experience in leading multi-site food and beverage distribution operations to join a fast-growing, global manufacturing company based in NY area. This deal candidate will report to the VP and lead a team to streamline the overall P&L, Process Improvement, KPI management across distribution network, logistics and inventory. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative base salary, bonus and competitive benefit.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to VP and lead a team and a union workforce to streamline the 24/7 operations of Distribution Network, fulfillment process and materials.
  • Full responsibility of P&L performance among Distribution Centers, fulfillment (Internal Fleet & 3PL), and Inventory; continuous drive improvement on lead-time, cost saving and lean process.
  • Collaborate with Sales Team and based on demand trend via e-commerce, wholesales, retail to develop and improve KPI and Metrics on inventory performance, identify process bottleneck and root cause to refine lean operational process and further achieve on-time delivery with an effective lead-time and minimum working capitals.
  • Exercise strategic DMACI, CI, Lean methodologies, develop, improve and implement S&OP process to optimize operational performance on materials flow, warehouse, logistics, and manpower.
  • Improve warehousing and fulfillment process through defining effective KPI across slotting, pick-pack rate, quality to further achieve OTD, JIT flow, accuracy and reduce cost.
  • Collaborate with Procurement team to develop strategic replenishment strategies on inventory, avoid back orders, improve slow moving items and reduce obsolescence, improve warehouse slotting, picking and packing process to further improve lead-time.
  • Support supplier management and ensure suppliers meet scorecard and KPI metrics, plan and optimize warehouse space to optimize stocking strategy.
  • Develop budget, target and financial goals with Executive Management team, ensure operations meet timeline and budget; evaluate S&OP and drive changes across operations to improve overall business performance.
  • Full responsibly of staffing management on union and non-union staff, responsible for hiring, coaching, training staff performance, engaging in union contract and union related negotiation.
  • Ensure the full compliance of safety and quality compliance, develop safety procedure and training to continuously refine safety practice across company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree strongly desired.
  • 10+ years of tenure as Operations Leader within Distribution, Logistics, Wholesales, Retail, Service within food and beverage industries
  • Solid knowledge in ERP, MS Office and WMS systems.
  • Solid knowledge in DMAIC, LSS, CI, JIT, certified in LSS, CSCM, or CPIM desired.
  • Knowledge in managing a union workforce is a plus.
  • Able to travel among DC centers for at least 50%
  • Strong in analytical skill, problem solving skill, excellent communication and people skills
